I urge you to not let these and other “but what if . . .” scenarios stop you from doing your job, and doing it well.
In my book, I have a section called “Get Fear Out of the Way” in the chapter called “Find the Time: Get More Done in Fewer Hours.”
Fear, I write, is the second biggest time waster in the nonprofit marketing world, after reinventing the proverbial wheel.
As I’m working on the new book, I’d love hear what other “what if” scenarios are worrying you. What have you suggested doing only to be shot down by a boss or board member because of some irrational or highly unlikely fear? Where have you stopped yourself, not because it was truly a bad idea, but because you were simply afraid?
